  2. The film industry has been left shocked and in mourning after cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was killed on set when actor and producer Alec Baldwin discharged a prop firearm.

  3. My greatest fear is that someone will be fatally hurt on one of my sets. I pray this will never happen. My heart goes out to all of those affected by the tragedy today on Rust, especially Halyna Hutchins & her family.

  4. The Chicago Police Department described a 3-step process: -Officers are vetted to make sure it wasn't an error -If it wasn't, they're sent to HR to be placed on no-pay status & given another chance to comply -If still no they're sent to internal affairs to be given a direct order

  5. On Monday, the compliance rate for the nearly 13,000-officer Chicago Police Department was 64%. It saw a slight uptick today to 67%, police said, as the department continues through the verification process. The CPD head said there have been no problems with officer shortages.

  6. At least 21 Chicago Police officers have been placed on no-pay status after refusing to report whether they've been vaccinated. This is after "several hundred" evaluations of those who were not in compliance by the Oct. 15 deadline. "Many" have decided to comply when approached.

  8. In total, about 4500 of the city's total 12,770 officers did not comply with the mandate and could be placed on no-pay status in the foreseeable future. The disciplinary process is ongoing. The city now is mostly approaching employees with new opportunities to be in compliance.
